Players between the ages of 8 and 16 compete in a grade called 'Under 16' by the PPUI. This grade was formerly know as the 'Juniors or Juvenile Grade'.

At Mac Bride we have 2 dedicated Junior officers, we also have trained coaches and all our Junior activities are run in accordance with the enforced code of ethics as set out by the PPUI.

A Junior can play all year round, however Junior activities usually reach their height with the summer holidays from school. During this time we run weekly coaching sessions followed by competitions.

Each year there are County, Provincial and National competitions for Juniors. There is even a county team for Juniors which competes in an National Inter county Competition, held at a different location each year. The county team allows Junior players to experience a variety of different courses throughout the country.
